I recently moved to Houston in May 2004...a friend of mines that has been here for about 3 years told me about the Breakfast Klub....for about a month it was a Saturday ritual....I can't say enough about the Breakfast Klub in order to win people over....The food, especially the chicken and waffles...is always the best...The service from the employees is top notch....The atmosphere is what I love most...I could sit on that couch and read a good book all day...

The weirdest think is that when you speak with native Houstonians...they have never heard of it....that's like wow....But trust me, I tell everybody I know!! Keep up the great work...God's Blessings are shining through....

I have visited Bunky's a few times and always love the food. They give you plenty of food, the service is great, and the peach cobbler is wonderful -- I must admit that I've gone there a couple times solely for the cobbler. This is the best soul food place I've visited, even better than F*mily C*fe. I highly recommend it.

The absolute best chitterlings in town. They are only served on Sundays, so after you attend service you scammper over there fast or they will be gone. The oxtails are served daily and they will melt in your mouth. I do not care for their greens or their macaroni and cheese, but everything else is absolutely off the hook! Enjoy!!

Seriously seasoned, home cooked taste and a family atmosphere. The portions are very generous, generous enough to have leftovers or even split a meal if you are both moderate eaters. Great oxtails, cornbread muffins, mashed potatoes and gravy. Okay, who am I kidding, from the pork, to the poultry, to the beef, it's all good, so "This Is It"!

This is a great soul food restaurant. The food is plentiful, spicy, delicious, and the ladies who serve it (particularly Rosie) always have time for a smile or a comment. It is near my home so I eat here quite a lot though I found it in the strip quite by mall accident (I can never eat it all and always have to take home leftovers). From time to time they even have social events such a poetry readings! Also, I get a kick out of looking at the pictures on the wall of Tessie's satisfied customers.

This restaurant has the best bbq in Missouri City, but they have "soul food," too. Soul food items include: oxtail stew, collard greens, yams, corn, macaroni and cheese,etc. Also, they have boudain, beef links, chicken, RIBS and the best homemade cakes. Try the Sock-It-2-Me cake! Good prices. Food is very tasty!

The place is clean, which is what I look for before anything else. However, I think $9.00 for a bowl of gumbo id pretty rediculous. I'll never pay that much again for one bowl of gumbo. I didn't find them to be the friendliest staff in the world but i wasn't there to make friends, only for a good meal which is what I recieved.
